It certainly is that!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Indeed!! Thanks, Ray!
Pretty bird, indeed, Elizabeth. I suddenly thought about house/roof shingles and wonder if we learned about them from Mother Nature?! smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: So much of what we do comes from nature, doesn't it... you do wonder!

Pretty bird indeed, Elizabeth. Amazing how feathers are decorated and how pretty they make the birds.
I don't like to offend the top bird, but I think that somebody is very jealous on the "Yellow Wig" that bird has... wink....
You did a great job letting him pose for you!!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile HA! I won't tell him!
Thank you, Astrid - he did strike a pose at just the right moment!
Magnifique série !!!!
et j'aime beaucoup Aretha Franklin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Claudine! Yea - Aretha was the Queen!
You have got the eye perfectly sharp and clear E. Cracking picture
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Bill - a bit of luck there, he didn't hold still very long!

Isn't it just! It is gorgeous.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I sure think so!
Magnifique oiseau, j'aime lorsqu'on voit les détails des plumes.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Martine! I do, too - feathers are infinitely fascinating!

stunning plumage and i like the sharp image, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Ayush! They're really beautiful, aren't they?!
I think Ray has showed this bird's cousin recently. What feathers! Two really excellent photos and one of the Queen's best vocals.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Possibly... it's a Pheasant of some sort, but I failed to take a photo of the species info. :-( Thanks so much, Mary!
I'm not too sure about the lower image but the top one is a superb nature shot, in my club that would almost certainly gain an award in a competition, it's just brilliant.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much - I really appreciate that. He posed at just the right moment, so I don't know how much credit I can take! smile
Great pics Ell' I don't remember seeing these.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Frank! They were in with all the chickens... I failed to get a photo of the species plate - wish I had...
I am in love with this beautiful bird What a stunning close up.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh that makes me happy! I thought they were so stunning!!

This looks like a blonder version of the golden pheasant. Great shot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was a Pheasant of some sort, but I failed to take a photo of the species info... Thanks, Louis!
Beautiful plumage Elizabeth, a really striking image! smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are so beautiful, aren't they?!

Sumptious feathers...such great color! Framable!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: ARen't they beautiful! Thanks so much, Bonnie! I appreciate your compliment!
Any idea what it is?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm afraid not - Some kind of Pheasant... They were in with all the chickens, and I failed to get a photo of the species tag.

the yellow one is a lovely bird, but I can hardly believe the patterns and especially the contortions of the black and white one.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: The black and white bird was preening under it's wing... I thought it made the patterns even more fascinating! Thanks for your visit, Harry - as always!
