Aspen Glow

A walk on the San Francisco Peaks refreshed our souls as we breathed in the clean, crisp, cool mountain air.  The smell of the pines, the whisper of the breeze through the forest... and this - the golden feast for the eyes. I can never be far from mountains.  And never far from trees.  Majestic sentinals. Reaching high to the Heavens.  Roots diving deep into the Earth.  They seem to have a knowing.  Providing life giving oxygen, shelter and food for untold millions of other beings.  I do love them.  These trees.

You caught the exact right moment! Love the sunstar (is that a word?) Your description is very poetic. This must be forest bathing.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Bonnie! I appreciate your comment, and love your descriptions... Sunstar... Forest bathing... smile

A beautiful sight and fine words to accompany the image. I'm fortunate that I have the New Forest National Park on my doorstep and the sea. Alas no mountains, though.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Alan! Yes, you are fortunate...
Ce devait être une promenade vraiment très porteuse d'ondes pour se sentir mieux !!
Merci pour cette très belle photo
Bonne journée
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Claudine! Yes it was!

That looks wonderful, and how refreshing it must be.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh it is... I wish I could convey the feel of the air, and the smell of the trees...
We have the Malvern hills ...not quite mountains and a fair number of trees. I love the picture. I would add the sea to the tings I want to be near to.....we are only a couple of hours way even though we live fairly centrally on this little island grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: As long as they bring you happiness! smile
I think Frank really misses being near water...
I know these trees, from your pictures of them previously Elizabeth......I love your description and your beautiful picture of them smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes! Nice of you to notice and remember, Martin! Thank you so much!
What a lovely place to walk among the trees, we done the same last week on a Fungi Walk, all very peaceful.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is... Forests have that effect... smile
Your prose is perfect to convey that feeling. The smells in autumn are so stimulating to the soul.

The golds, greens, and yellow are magnifique!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Mary... Yes - I do love this time of year!
