Cet endroit semble très religieux pour un hôtel.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Santa Fe ("Holy Faith" ) is full of Catholic references and icons. It was "settled" (taken over) by Franciscan Missionaries, thus St Frances is the Patron Saint of the town. The San Miguel Church (1610 a.d.) in Santa Fe is the oldest known church structure in the United States. And my photo is in the oldest hotel in Santa Fe, and is thusly named for St. Frances.

A beautiful entry hall of this hotel! The sepia treatment adds a nice vintageness.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's very unusual! Thank you, Steven!

Some fine religious imagery here Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - it's all over town!
I immediately thought of a sanctuary hotel, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Very much like that, Ginnie!

I love your presentation here, Elizabeth. Beautiful pictures, they have the New Mexico-feel about them.
(I read your reply to Martine)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Astrid! Santa Fe is a special place!
A font in an hotel seems a bit strange E.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well yes, in theory. But when you're there - nothing seems more perfect!

I can just imagine the coolness and the quiet prevailing. Like in a church. Two great shots, befitting the subject.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It has a wonderful, peaceful aura. Thank you!
What a fascinating place, I can almost imagine a confirmed atheist turning round and walking out if they'd booked a room in this place. Do I recall you saying recently you are a Wyoming girl by birth only on the Smithsonian TV channel they have just had the Aerial programme of that state and we hadn't realised how fantastic parts of it are, in fact we are enjoying the whole series seeing parts of America we don't know anything about, we are still waiting for Arizona to come on.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I suppose an atheist would have done some homework before visiting Santa Fe!
I was born in North Carolina, but mostly raised in Wyoming since the age of two. It's a spectacular place that most people don't know a thing about! I'm glad you enjoyed that episode! I wish we could get Smithsonian... well, we could for an extra 5 bucks a month... not that much but I suppose we have other priorities!
Nice treatment, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Tom!
Magnifique prise de vue !
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Claudine!

love the softness here
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Sherri!
A place for contemplation........I like your presentation, Elizabeth smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely - nice and quiet to do so! Thank you, Martin!
A certain style for sure, more refined than Mexico.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes it is... a strong Spanish influence I think.
