when i see such graffiti, i always have trouble reading/understanding them, Elizabeth. i wonder if that is by design.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I don't know - it seems they'd want you to know what their tags are all about... Mind you - some of this may be in Hopi or Navajo...

Musta been great in its heyday! Nice memory.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I bet it was! Thanks, Bonnie!
As Bonnie says it would have been great to see this place back in the day on '66. Nice captures Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'd love to find some old photos of it... I'll have to look it up! Thanks, Frank!
Ces graffitis font paraître le bâtiment encore plus délabré.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I suppose it does!
Oh my, Elizabeth. Can you imagine how people must feel who remember when it was a bustling place!

It's been a while since this sold its last flat white I should think. The style makes me think that it was something from the 1960s. Seeing the close-up of the head by the "Cafe" sign makes me wonder what the artist was thinking about.

a feeling of transitoriness!
Many a traveller once stopped here for refreshments. I wonder if my mate who has driven most of Route 66 would recognise it?

It was of basic design but effective I’m sure.

Excellent image!

But it seems a pity to use such a wonderful canvas for "Signing" when there was an opportunity to paint something memorable...

Somewhere, between nowhere and elsewhere ... What beats me is that people travel all the way to express themselves.

Soon I will post something similar.
Must've been a great place in it's time: a landmark for bacon sandwiches and all manner of delights! smile
You probably know by now I really do not like graffiti, wall art, and other similar things, to me even if the place is empty it just makes it look even more of an eyesore.
i looked it up online Elizabeth and the only part that is not covered with graffiti are the two giant arrows stuck in the ground at am angle....petersmile
