... On a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, Northern Arizona

And a woman who never had the need to find herself...

she's always known exactly who she is and what she's worth.

I'll miss you buddy... those Texans have no idea what they're in for!

I am a bit confused looking at your blog today. Who is this woman? Has a child left this car on the road?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Sorry, Philine.... Lost in translation I guess!

The two photo's have nothing to do with each other. I photographed a toy car that I found on a back country road. And my dear friend is moving away to Texas - so that part, mostly is a message to her.

It looks quite abandoned in its giant landscape.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was so tiny... I found it a remarkable image!
I heard about that station wagon from the sixties that was headed for Arizona - never to be seen again. I think there was magic involved.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Here it is!! And it's been shrunk!! smile
The red soil reminds me of Prince Edward Island, Elizabeth. Looks like it might be a rough ride for the little car on that rocky road. It can be sad when good friends move away.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I imagine so, Beverly! Mary always talks about that, and of course, shows many photos of it!
Poor little car!
Yes - I will really miss, Katie... she's a rare woman!
I wonder how....I'll miss Katy too, though I'll save on Galaxy I suppose. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Who knows... smile

That's you - always looking for the silver lining! smile
Some child will be sad to have lost their little toy car. I'm assuming this lady is a close friend of yours and Franks who is moving away, at least it's easy to keep in touch these days.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Sad isn't it... I left it there - hoping if they came back that way they'd find it.
Yes, I (we) will miss Katie terribly - but you're right - we will certainly not lose touch.
"Honey - they've shrunk our car! AND THE KIDS ARE IN IT!"
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

A great tilt-shift effect achieved here making the car appear so tiny! Beautiful smiles between the two of you as well.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Steven! I have to admit this was not a purposeful composition... I happened upon the little car as I was driving a country road... happened to have my macro lens on as I'd been out shooting wildflowers... and I was pleasantly surprised with the result! smile
A happy night of wondering around our little town! smile
