photoblog image Sunday Skies

Sunday Skies

After flying a couple thousand miles from Atlanta - Phoenix comes into view.  Not a sharp image, but you can see the lights across the Tempe Town Lake, on the North side of the freeway.

Not far to go then..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nope - a matter of minutes to land, 1/2 hour to get the luggage... 2 & 1/2 hour drive home!
Impressionnante photo !

A very different perspective when seen at night, I should think. I always see Camelback Mountain when flying in to Sky Harbor. (122cm of snow at the base today).
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it! I like looking for Camelback, wherever I am in the Valley - and when flying in and out...
This would have been the view my daughter got many years ago when she flew into Phoenix for a holiday. Whilst she and her companions were there they also flew to Las Vegas and L.A.I think.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yep - I like the view flying into Phoenix!
I have flown there only in daytime. In our midwinter so it was lovely after deplaning.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do like the view during the day! And yes - midwinter in Phoenix is a paradise!
