Discarded

Along the Enchanted Circle

Outside of Taos, New Mexico

I think it's time to consider what's become

the bi-annual ShutterChance get together!

And I'm not trying to dictate the where or when....

But....  I'll be in England for a week or so next spring.

Either mid-March (13th - 19th), or sometime in the

weeks after.  I have to work out vacation

time with my co-workers.  So, as I work on that -

perhaps you all could be thinking on where we

could meet up that would allow for coffee and

conversation.   If it turns out that the best time

for all ya'all will be when I'm not there - Frank

and I may just come south for a few days -

and will have a visit with whomever we can.

Slide over and see me on the way to our from, Elizabeth and Frank, as I doubt I'll be in England when you are there.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Awe.... that would be the round about way wouldn't it!!! Love to - if I could find the cash and days off from work... smile
it was well used before it got discarded Elizabeth... great composition in b&w....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Certainly looks that way, doesn't it!! Thank you!
Fancy throwing that away, few years left in it yet....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Ha! You would think so... smile

This poor thing used to be something but now isn't anything really

Thank you for the info regarding your visit to the UK. When you have definite dates I'm sure we can arrange something Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Just something for me to photograph! smile

Wonderful Chris! Would be great to see you again!

It will be great to see you, Elizabeth, but I don't know yet about any shutterchance get-together next year
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well, we've just got to arrange one! smile
We will work out something. I am sure travelling up north would not be too great a hardship, even if if does mean being on Shaw's home territory. Mind you my mother was from Lancashire!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Wonderful, Bill! Thank you for being willing to come our way! We'll probably come down your way though - you know us American's... travel is part of life! There are some folks who might not be as willing to come up nort'!

I've not heard of the Enchanted Circle before so that seems to be my loss from a quick galnce of the web site. It took me a moment or two to work out what I was looking at; it's an old boot.

I've got nothing planned until next may after the new year so any time you're inn the UK would be good for me; north or south matters not.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh you should, Alan! A really beautiful drive!

Thank you so much for your willingness to be flexible! We'll probably come south - there may be some folks who have a little more trouble traveling, and as you know - we don't mind! I'll keep you posted!
It seems having been there for ages Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No kidding! You have to wonder who left it behind, and why!
It seems that this boots working life is over Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Looooooong gone!
Great find, Elizabeth - I suggested a couple of places for a get-together: the Eden Project or the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, but I'm sure others have other ideas.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Tom!
I remember you mentioning the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.. and the Eden Project seems equally wonderful! We'll keep those in mind - thanks for the idea's!
Just needs a bit of superglue.....
My diary is so far empty for next year
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Just a little! smile
Well, yay, Janet! We'll keep you posted!

Ah, the shoe doesn't fit me, with reference to an SC gathering. Maybe you can extend the roundabout to Ray, to include me?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Darn - it looks in good shape! smile

If we come in to the lottery - we'll be sure to see you and Ray in our round the world trip! smile

It certainly has seen better days, well spotted!

It would be lovely to see you - it would be good if there were a Shutterchance meet up when you were in the UK.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It seems to have been there quite some time!
You too, Anne! We'll keep you posted!
I don't think anybody will get much more use out of that boot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Not as a boot anyway! smile
Costa Del Cleveleys would be a good place to meet up Ellie, Bill will never find it.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Ha! You're funny! smile

Gives me a sense of sadness. I like your composition.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I can see that, Hollie - Thank you!
