Sagebrush Inn

A Charmingly Updated Taos, New Mexico Hotel

A historic Taos landmark, the Sagebrush Inn opened in 1931 as a 17 room hotel, catering to guests traveling by carriage along the trade route between New York and Arizona.  Today, the Sagebrush Inn and Suites offers 156 rooms and suites, providing every modern comfort and convenience in the atmosphere of old Southwestern charm.  The property has graceful portals, outdoor patios, old brick walkways which surround large beautiful courtyards, and a classic southwestern art collection by some of the most well respected regional and national artists.

Quite beautiful, really...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I was quite taken with that painting - and the little wooden icons next to it.
I am reminded of a book about walks in which it states that paths are not just there, they are made by walking. I know it sounds simple but we do take routes for granted a bit Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I see your point, Chad - a good one!
This is really beautiful Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Richard! I love that painting!

It seems to have character
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Very much so, Chris! I love the culture that has resulted from the clashing of Native Americans, Mexicans, and Spaniards It's a beautiful thing!
It sounds a great place to stay ECB
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We certainly enjoyed our time there!
And there are rainbows on the wall. Charming.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that lovely?! Thank you!

This cries out New Mexico to me. I like the sound of the courtyards and walkways. It sounds rather different to Hampton Inn that I stayed in smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Doesn't it, Alan?! It's really lovely - and quite reasonably priced - perhaps you can try it on your next trip... The full, complimentary, full service breakfast was delicious!
This sounds a great place to stay, history and every comfort no doubt.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We really enjoyed it there, Brian!

A fine study, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Tom!
A lovely abstract, Elizabeth, the colours are great.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Frank! I was quite taken with this painting!
