Da Birds

Such a gorgeous day!  We spent the entire afternoon at the beach.

These little boids were hopping around on the rocks.

So I climbed after them...

Those boids know how to keep their health, Elizabeth...they didn't drive to the beach!

smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Cuz they don't know how to drive!
Have we decided Turnstones then....? On those big ugly rocks....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm thinking you're right, Frank - closer than anything else...

LOL at Mary's comment. Great shot, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know!!!

Thank you Pauline!!
I haven't heard the word 'boid' for years, it reminded me of this:

The spring is sprung, the grass is riz,
I wonder where them boidies is?
They say the boids are on the wing,
But that’s absurd, the little wings are on the boid.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh that's great!!!

Boids... do I detect some New jersey accent there? wink I was hoping someone would have identified the birds; I was going to say oysercatachers but I think they have yellow beaks.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well, ifn's ya consida dat da broders Buccleuch landed in Joisey some 350 yeah's ago, den yah... you might! smile However, I'm not sure they'd have spoken like that - do you think? smile
It seems Turnstone may be what they are...
Difficult to tell what they are, possible Turnstones??
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think you're right - that was Franks first call.
