The scale of this is awesome
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's impossible to grasp until you stand there... and even then...
Grandiose est un petit mot pour décrire un tel paysage ! Beautiful is a small word for to translate a great landscape !
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much Magali - it's difficult to capture, and difficult to describe!
This is landscape on the grand scale E
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I suppose the name is apt then!

I still remember my first visit to the Canyon. We thought that the scenery before we got there was not all that spectacular when suddenly we arrived at the rim and our jaws dropped. We had a mindset from Europe of going up into the mountains before we got to the canyons. The view across to the the Echo Mountains reminds me of that first trip. the lighting on the side of the rim is very special.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think most people feel the same, Alan. It's just a typical Colorado Plateau drive until... smile

You certainly know how to take a viewers breath away Elizabeth, this really does illustrate Franks narrative yesterday about the size of the mountains inside the canyon.
