Oh my goodness! What amazing colours! With some exceptions, blue does not seem to feature much in wildlife and I've not seen one in sky blue before.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You are right Alan- making him all the more amazing!

Very exotic and a lovely delicate setting for him - excellent.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you! I was amazed when I saw him!
Oh my, If you could get it to cocoon and hatch nearby you'd be in for a treat. My dau-in-law did that last year with a monarch and the kids had a wonderful learning experience.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh wouldn't that be wonderful! I've been sort of searching the yard to see if I can find him or any of his relatives- I hope the birds didn't make off with them all!
Great colour, nicely captured.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you John!

So brightly coloured he doesn't look real! I guess the bright colours are to warn off predators.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I imagine so Annie- but I'm really afraid the birds might have got him!

I see the butterfly is also a stunner smile.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes! Wouldn't it be wonderful if I can later catch him in his final form!
It must be insect Monday! This is the third in a row!
