Magnificent macro and capture Elizabeth......and such lovely colours to your Caterpillar....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Peter!
What an interesting photo! I love the details. Will you be able to record the progress of the transformation of the caterpillar to butterfly? I hope so!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh I hope so! However I've not yet found any chrysalis :-( I'll keep looking and will photograph whatever I find! Thanks for stopping by!

Heavens: just look at the way it grips that stem
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Cute huh! I'd never noticed that before!
My daughter Helen would probably say these were his hands. (She is as mad as her Mother)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they?! smile
Fascinating, the way they use their legs to cling on. Looks as if they are cuddling the stalk. Very well done indeed for the unusual view.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much Sheila! I figured few of us had seen this view!

That looks so funny an UNreal.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know, huh! He's like a poofy little cartoon character!
Wow, fantastic shot. Strange and wonderful.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Hi Tay! Thanks so much! I think he looks a little like something out of an animated movie!

Another stunning shot; looks like the caterpillar is embracing the stem with its limbs.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes- with his oven mits! smile

They are the cutest feet I have seen on caterpillar, very lovely fresh colours smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they! Like little oven mits!
Judging from the stranglehold he has there, Elizabeth, nothing is going to knock him off that stem. Excellent perspective to show off his underside.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Beverly! I figured few of us have looked at this from this angle! And you are right- he was going NOWHERE! Just munching along at his pace!

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Hmmmm - I like your eye!!!
It looks just as good from the other side, bottom, oh you know what I mean.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know what you mean! And I agree this point of view is as interesting as the other!
It's absolutely lovely!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I sure agree Tom! He becomes a beautiful butterfly also!

Nice macro (or great cropping smile, either way the colors are lovely.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much! I did use my macro on this... practicing up on my steadiness as I hate toting a tripod! Appreciate your comments!
