Splendid designs in these eye-catching guitars!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they beautiful!!
The black bass is turned away from the sun... so you can't see the area where the bassist (the incomparable Rich Neville) has worn the lacquer and paint off - he's been playing the same instrument for so many years - and although he works at a music store where they sell top shelf instruments - he won't play anything else in a performance! Love that guy!
Ces guitares sont joliment colorées.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'd be happy just to hang that gold one on my wall! smile

Guitar royalty, looks like a Fender Stratocaster there
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh you know more than me... you and Frank can discuss it! smile
Don't you love when an instrument becomes part and parcel of a person, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh yeah... Our friends, Rich Neville (bassist), and Bob Blasi (drummer) are very attached to their instruments. Bob plays on a vintage 1952 drum set! And man, can he play them drums!
J'aime ces guitares !
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think they're so pretty!

My grandson is excellent at the guitar, he is studying at college in Bath and in September goes to London to study for a degree in performance music.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's fantastic! I LOVE guitar music!

They take good care of their instruments, Elizabeth. This is a fine line-up and I read the story of the black guitar, his instrument had the right sound for him, he does not want a new one..... it is like your old jeans feel the best on you... not some stiff new one wink....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes they do! Yes - Rich is pretty cute with his "old" bass! smile
That's right - he just loves the sound that thing gives him - it's an old friend, or as Ginnie says - a part of him!
The Strat is a timeless design and as desirable now as when it was first produced...would you believe in 1954?!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's just beautiful!
Ah, happy Sunday afternoons, one of the things I'll miss for a few weeks.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Me too... don't know that it'll be as much fun without you...
Ready and waiting - then the hum begins.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Hummmmmmmmmmm..... smile
Very stylish guitars. WOnder if any of them were Gibsons designed by Les Paul.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I wouldn't know, Ruthie - I'll have to ask Frank!

Band members with guitars like these, can probably make good music. I read your reply about Rich Neville - they are good then.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh these guys can play! They're fantastic!

How great to be able to hear these being played!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We're so fortunate that Flagstaff has so many amazing musicians!
I like the design on the one on the left.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Beauty, isn't it!
All ready to go!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Just a little break... back shortly
nice guitars Elizabeth... perfect title for a country band....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They're lovely things!
Some choice guitars, Elizabeth.......I like the light and shadows smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Indeed... they are top notch instruments! Thank you, Martin!
very nice compositions

Though I have lived through the creation of the electric guitar and have enjoyed the many forms of music they are used to create I have not looked at them as your various friends have.

I fantacised about playing a guitar when I was a preteen.

My mother let me take lessons but only on the STEEL GUITAR, Hawaian guitar that my older brother supposedly had taken lessons on.

long story.....

Thanks for sparking the memory
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Alan!
They are really beautiful, and I'm always interested in the different sounds they make. Most of our guitarist friends have more than one guitar... because they offer such different sounds.

Glad I could spark a memory! That's always nice!
