This looks like two weather types clashing
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: There are often two or three different weather patterns dancing across these plains / mesas / prairies! I used to enjoy watching them from my vantage point on Howard Mesa.
Oupssss !
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Thank you, Claudine!
Run for it!

I bet a certain lady was excited grin

Not a place to get stuck in snowdrift I should think. Do such roads get ploughed in a big dump?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Probably not - I spoke with someone who lives up here, and runs a guide business. He said the snow has been wonderful - but now that it's warm, the roads are all getting churned up and muddy. We'll wait for things to dry out a bit before we go again!

Oh the wide open spaces.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do love them!
Beautiful weather shots. I hope you are equipped with winter tires.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you! Yep - brand new! Works well with our AWD Nissan. Almost as good as my old Subaru smile
Great scenery but you could have done without the snow no doubt. Is this the journey you were on when you had to drive a long way home in the snowstorm?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We actually love the snowstorms... but yes - driving back that evening it did get a bit sketchy. Our AWD vehicle with her new all terrain tires, and Frank behind the wheel - got us home safely!
Really blowing in!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Fast and furious!

Beautiful views of the landscape! I am intrigued by how low the clouds are hovering, as if you can touch them.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Steven! The clouds were so heavy - it was quite a sight!
