What a lovely place this was, I could have lived there quite happily.

This has a charming feel. The two figures make it for me
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Chris! I actually waited until they were in the center of the opening. They were great help!

I like the shady avenue of trees and then the opening at the end, presumably to the sea?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it just lovely! Yes, sir - you are right. It's the St Simon Sound just off the Atlantic.

What a lovely group of old trees. I expect these afford some wonderful shade.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they! Yes - some nice protection from the elements in any weather I'd think!

and palms - a lovely way and a fine composition!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - there were some of those as well! Thank you very much, Philine!
A place of refuge from the heat of the sun
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Indeed - such a beautiful place!
There appears to be a rather grand home situated in this lovely location, Elizabeth. Like how you've captured the two figures in the clearing.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes it was, Beverly... a lovely old house. thank you very much!
I could use a bit of the south right now. This has such a warm, humid feel. Thank you.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Head on down - I know they'd welcome you! smile
I would love to take a stroll with you in this beautiful place
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I wish you could have, Ruthie - I think you'd really enjoy it!
Nice place to live and walk. The area we live in is known especially for its Oak trees all over the place, we have a tub in the garden in which I put two or three Acorns at least 20 years ago and a small tree has grown, but it will never get large because I guess it is 'pot bound'!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is truly beautiful - and so warm and inviting! How wonderful that you have a lot of Oaks. They're such a handsome tree!

A nice lush landscape with the trees that tower over the people!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Those trees are so gorgeous! I highly recommend a visit to St. Simon's Island if you find yourself in the Savannah area!
