they make it look yummy
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It WAS!!
Looks nice, but not being a coffee drinker of any type, it's lost on me... now if it was a shelf of some nice tea,... haha
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They did have a lot of tea, as well... I had some apple something or other... smile
This is a fun image, Elizabeth. I suppose some people try the different coffees whereever they travel...kinda like Astrid and I try the local beers/ciders.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Ginnie! Yes - I think just like that! You and Astrid could pal around with our Collin & Jennifer... they actually plan their vacations around where the micro-breweries are!

So to see this was a great place to stop and a have a good "kopje koffie", Elizabeth. From what I read between the lines, Frank did some homework and really wanted to go here.....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was delicious - an excellent choice - the sandwiches as well! Yes, Frank looked through the visitors book and chose it...

Now I expect that the coffee was as good a the display suggests. I expect that there were people ordering a "mochalattemacchiatoespresso with half soya/half almond milk over ice with a shot of caramel" which then takes about a week a to make smile I, on the other hand, just want a latte.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: "Half caff/ double de-caff..." smile Frank had "just a latte"... I had tea! smile Both very good!

I like those words - Artisanal and Premium.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - sounds very up market... smile
I looked up the tea on offer and saw this

London Fog $3.25
Cozy, Earl Grey tea mixed with steamed milk and lightly sweetened with vanilla

It sounds horrible grin

So maybe I will have coffee grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That made both of us laugh out loud!!!!! Frank said.. "No, tea should be tea..." smile The coffee was very good...

A wonderful display that you've captured here! How could one resist not buying? smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Steven! We didn't... smile
If this display is any indication, Elizabeth, it must have been a fine place to stop for a great cup of coffee. It always tickles me to see the American flag displayed so often everywhere you go in the United States.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was really great... great coffee for Frank, great tea for me (that does seem backwards doesn't it... Englishman.... American... Anyway) - great sandwiches for us both. AND Frank bought a T-Shirt with the logo on the back.
Yes - Frank is the same about our flag. He likes it, as do I - we have a lovely flag and as the only country that simply decided to be a country (we don't like the way you do things, we're going over here to make up our own rules) ... we do tend to be (annoyingly to some) extremely proud! smile
One of the great joys of life.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh, indeed!
I would enjoy stopping off there to sample a coffee or two.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was very good... and Frank bought a T-shirt with the logo on the back!
AN interesting display. I'm in.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was a great little place.... I'll meet ya there! smile
very Georgian Elizabeth... got the boats in as well as artistic coffee roasters....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes! Very right, Peter!
I assume you sampled the goodies smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Frank had a coffee, I had some tea, and we both had a sandwich.... all was delish!
