Constantly moving sands...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are! If you were to pluck all the people off, within 24 hours there'd be no evidence they were there!

Je ne savais pas qu'on pouvait faire du surf sur le sable. Ils se régalent tous les deux.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Not very well.. but he had fun trying!
Then the surfer guy had to walk alllll the way back up....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Seemed little thrill for a lot of work!

Your third picture is wonderful
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Chris! He wasn't going very fast - but he stayed upright, which must have been difficult with the blasting wind!

Oh, this park is a real play area for some people.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes! They have different area's designated for different activities... We who just wanted to be with Nature, found our solace down the road a bit!

I can see how soft and fine the sand is now, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes, it really is!

Now the surfer sounds like a lot of fun; no chance of drowning, either. I'd need one of the those dune buggies, though, to get be back to the top; no way would I try walking!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It does, doesn't it!!
Oh - this walk would be a piece of cake for you, Alan! (Oh! Did I mention cake?)
I never knew people surfed on sand
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Neither did I!
I wonder how the mechanical parts of bikes can cope with the effects of sand in the works Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh gosh I can't even imagine!
Looks a lovely place Ellie.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was a lot of fun... for a short period of time!
That must be fun and fairly soft if you come off.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I should think so!
I think my son told me people had snowboards and skis at the dune place in Michigan I was telling you about.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I've never seen it before!
Now if I was twenty years younger I might fancy a go on a dirt bike on that sand.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It would be fun!

This place is just great for activities. We have a similar area, but the sand is white and therefor it is called "Whitesands". Young uns like to surf down them on body boards.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is, Louis!
I bet Whitesands is a wonderful place to see!
We have an area of white sands as well... our is made from gypsum. It's in New Mexico
Great shots, Elizabseth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Tom!
