How lovely, Elizabeth. My kaleidoscope was one of my very best things when I was young
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Lisl - they are wonderful things, aren't they!
I LOVE kaleidoscopes, Elizabeth. I bet this was fun. Hmmm. I bet "they" have kaleidoscope coloring books!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I do too, Ginnie! They're so beautiful! Oooooh - you'd better look for one of those!

There is obviously a real demand for these things
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Amazingly - they're very expensive though. I picked up a small one and held it up for Frank to see. When I did, I saw the price tag of $175.00, and told Frank - he said "Yeah, now put it down..." smile

I must learn to read; I read this first as "the largest kaleidoscope in the world" sad It is beautiful and fascinating to see all the different patterns and colours. I had a very basic one as a child.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Tee hee! I do things like that all the time!
They are so amazing - and expensive!

This is wonderful. If I would be in this store, I would not know where to start to look. What a great art. Did you buy something?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Astrid! You can spend A LOT of time there! The only thing I could afford was a little glass necklace with some iridescent butterflies on it. I really love it!

A lovely light instrument, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are just lovely!
I was mentioning kaleidoscopes last week to Anne. I loved them so much as a kid. Glass shops specialize in some fantastic ones these days.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's a coincidence - they don't come up in conversation often! smile They really are beautiful art pieces!
I like these very much. That's the sort of shop one could spend a lot of time in.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Brian!
We DID spend a lot of time there!
