Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I love the snow - but am glad we don't have long winters here! smile I love the summer more!
It must be bright Elizabeth, I see that Frank is having to wear dark glasses.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: The sun is almost always shining here in Northern Arizona! smile Must be where you are, too! smile

Good sunglasses are important. This looks like a lot of fun. Great pictures.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely! Especially when you're only 2500 miles from the equator, and 7,000 feet closer to the sun! smile
Thank you, Astrid!
I would LOVE an adventure there in such snow, Elizabeth! How fun for you both, I'm sure.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You WOULD love it, Ginnie! I"m sure!! We love this place and it was just amazing in the snow!

Frank's fingers are probably numb by that time, Elizabeth. or perhaps he is not affected as much as i would be!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He's a hardy northerner, Ayush! smile Even I wear gloves sometimes when he's bare fisted!
He looks like a man in his element E

Hahah!! I would have sent you first to make sure it is safe smile (only joking; I'm a gentleman really). It's a beautiful scene.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Once we got to the cinder cone - I was, in fact, the first to rush in!! smile
Very cool to see snow pictures from somewhere else. Very nicely done.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile With lots of SUN! Thank you, Mary!
Is Frank walking there in his shirt sleeves, it must have been warmer than it looks.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He's just got his fleece sleeves pushed up because, yes, it was quite warm. His outer warmy shell is wrapped around his waist.

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He does have an inner warmth.. smile But, in fact, he has a fleece on with the sleeves pushed up because he was quite warm!

Sun and snow, how lovely for a walk.

Frank looks slightly wary though, were you about to throw snowball at him?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Just perfect!
Tee-hee... not a chance... smile
The wild man of the woods! Better watch out!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Where he belongs!

And he doesn't even wear snow shoes!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No - he got new snow boots for Christmas! Though I keep bringing up the idea of snow shoes... I'll win that one eventually! smile

i love to see that you two had a nice hike in the snow...
it doesn't even look cold outside....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile
It was a wonderful day - and actually, quite warm in the sun, until we were in the cinder cone which was all in shade
