Yo Ho Ho!

Gotta love that the laborador is wearing a life vest!

Here's a link to one of the rafting companies offering Dory adventures:

Looks like more fun than a rubber duck, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely!
Good shots, Elizabeth, the dog doesn't look too happy.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Frank! No - I'm not sure what the pup is thinking!

Sympa le chien. En français, la cataracte est une maladie des yeux...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Cute, huh!
Here, too. The term "cataract" means clouding, and was taken from the cloudiness of the water in a cascade or waterfall.
People AND dog watching. I love it for you, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Great fun! Thank you, Ginnie!

I think the dog is feeling sea-sick, Elizabeth - but they are caring well for him with the life jacket
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He didn't seem to thrilled....

The dog is showing stoicism of the highest order
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He must be English... smile
Is that a parrot on the front Elizabeth?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nope - a bouquet of flowers! smile

I like the bunch of flowers on the bow. Hopefully it will be a safe trip and there will be no need for a doggy paddle.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that sweet! I'd like to see them at the end...
Usually oarsmen face the other way, but I can see the sense in facing forward in this situation.I guess the oars are just for steering rather than propulsion
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That would be right, Martin... Not much man power is needed in a river like that!
That red rock sure looks familiar but roiling green water gives us the place.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm sure it does, Mary!
I'm guessing it's good fun but as an almost non-swimmer, I only learnt when I was about 40, and then never kept it up, I would have to pass going on one of these.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm sure it does seem daunting if you're not a good swimmer. But honestly - swimming skills aren't necessary. With or without a life jacket - if you fall into a river like this- you just lift your knees up - and point your bum down river. You'd be amazed how well it works!
The dog looks unimpressed....Are those flowers at the pointy end?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Rather non-plussed... Yes they are! Nice touch, eh?!
When are you and Frank going to hop on one of those?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: When we win the lottery! smile
I thought Dory was a cartoon character... smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: HA! Good one, Larry!
