Seeking the Light

Just at the right moment.

After several trips to the Paria Wilderness - which is very

slowly eroding... We've come to expect and embrace the

many obstacles that will be placed in our path.

Makes it so much more fun!

I really like this trip and I think you found the sun. What a great pictures... I assume the fella with the cap is the leader op the group wink....
This is magic to me, all those rocks :0
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We were seeking the shade most of the time, actually! smile
I'll follow that fella anywhere... in fact, I have...
You would love this place, Astrid!
Très joli cet arbre couleur soleil.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it lovely - it looks lit from within! smile
What an adventure, Elizabeth, when even the obstacles are fun! And so much MORE fun when shared with your Partner in Crime!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely, Ginnie!!

I like the light on the bush; you've caught it well.Good plan to send Frank first; that rock above his head and further on along the track looks ready to fall. Mind you, he could loosen it and it it could fall on you sad You best go first...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was hard to miss- I'm glad I was able to translate it!
It's hard to know just what strategy to follow... smile

Nice to have come walking with you and Frank, obstacles are so much more fun when they are behind us ;o)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: So glad you've enjoyed it!
I do like climbing / scrambling / bouldering... so when I see these, I get rather excited! Time to put on my billy goat head!
Love the golden bush lighting the way. Seeing the slabs beside Frank begs me to ask if you ever find fossils.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that lovely!
We haven't here. I know they find them in the Grand Canyon, though. Many fossils come from my home state of Wyoming - in fact, if ever you see a fossilized fish in a shop somewhere... it often has come from the Green River area of Wyoming. They're sold world wide.
it looks like a hard path Elizabeth... but yo guys are tough...
i love the pictures of Frank fro the back since he sees what you have photographed....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: The most fun kind! I prefer scrambling / climbing / bouldering to just strolling!
This is something you've got over there that we haven't here despite all out lovely scenery so I'm really enjoying seeing it. The top picture sort of epitomises Exodus 3:2 and the 'burning bush' in a way. Good to see Frank with the bottles of water, and presumably the cake inside the bag smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: The western part of North America has treasures of all kinds - I'm glad you enjoy seeing some of our deserty patches. A perfect reference, Brian!
Oh yes - Frank carries the water, I carry the sandwiches! smile

What amazing colours and scenery.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I wish you could come and experience it!
Lovely lighting on the tree - did you get a close-up?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Tom!
The closer I got, the less attractive it was to me, the lighting changed - so, no I didn't.
