Superbe photo avec ces petites gouttes de pluie.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Martine!
Ohhhh, I do like that Steinbeck quote with this beauty!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Ginnie! I like that the rose is still so lovely in it's aging... A metaphor for us who've had a lot of birthdays and have learned that life is no longer a competition...

The best so far, I think. This has a dreamy abstract feel to it. The water droplets add to the appeal.

I like the quote; i did have to point out to my work colleagues that I've wasn't perfect and apologised for shattering their illusions wink
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Alan! I appreciate your gracious words!
Oh I'm sure they were just shattered!

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Lisl! I'm so happy you approve!!!!
A lovely little detail of a flower picture E.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Bill! I like the little details!
You seem enjoying your 50MM macro lens Elizabeth!
Superb image indeed.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh I am!!! Thank you, Richard!
I enjoyed reading JS many years ago Elizabeth. He was never regarded as one of the great of American writing, but I think that is changing - and will change. I would put him up in the top category.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think you're right about Steinbeck - we had to read him in High School. I'm glad you enjoyed his writing!
I love the rusty rot beginning. All of life is like that.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that lovely - and Mary, it is so true!
A fine close-up, and the water droplets make the image.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Brian! I think so too!
Stunning colours you captured here, love, with the water drops the final touch.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank, you, My Love! My, my macro lens, my Englishman's garden...

We used to say: "Be good and if you can't be good, be good at it!"
Roses are such stand-out flowers.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I've heart that, Louis!!
Roses are indeed, always lovely!
Wot is it?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: A rose is a rose is a rose...
