Sunday Skies

A cowboy takes in the view through the windows

of the Grand Canyon Lodge on the North Rim,

while I remain sunk into the well worn

cushions of the leather sofa.

A fine image Elizabeth. Is that the other rim we can see in the distance?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Chris!
Good observation! The interior wall is just obscuring the South Rim itself - but just above that you can see Kendrick Mountain, which is probably 50 miles or so South of the Rim - and about 30 miles North West of Flagstaff.

Is the cowboy anyone you know? wink The leather sofas sound a good place to be attires.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nope - just some passer by!
I wonder how many rear ends it took to soften them into the cloud they felt like!
Wonderful silhouettes with this backlight Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Richard! I was just gazing at the sky, when the cowboy happened by!

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile It should! Thank you, Frank!
I can imagine there must be some spectacular big skies above the canyon at times.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You are so right, Brian!!
By the look of the weather, you probably had the better spot!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We were pretty happy to be inside... smile
Nothing like sinking into a well worn cushion.

Nice pic!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Tough part is getting up again! smile

Thank you, Bill!
