Happy Fathers' Day!

To All Ya'all

A thunderhead builds as Annette and I enjoy a hot day in the park.

The annual Chilli Cookoff, Flag Blues & Brews festival,

and the Rte 66 car show all going in and about town.

We take off for a hike up to Observatory Mesa, with our friends'

twin sons...  and that thunderhead just followed us... then it

began to rain - cooling us off as we listened to the twins

chatter on about school, photography, running...

Great day!   The only thing missing was My Mr. Croston.

Nice narrative to go with the cloud, Elizabeth.

Many years ago I was in Fort Worth, having a chat about Banking Technology to a bloke who was trying to give e advice...I totally lost the plot when he began a sentence thus:

"All y'alls'll have to protect y'alls data, or y'alls..."
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Ray!

Having grown up in the West... I always tell people that when I turn on the southern accent, I come by it honestly because I was born in North Carolina. That said - I usually use my grandmothers' smooth, sophisticated drawl. But there are times when country hick, done right, is tremendously amusing!

A gorgeous cloud gathering and a wonderful image- I understand your feeling missing Mr. Blue Skies!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Philine!

What a lovely explosive-looking cloud Elizabeth

Hold on, he'll soon be with you..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Chris! I think these giant cumulus are amazing!

Thanks for the vote of confidence - but it's been 85 days now, and I won't be surprised if we're only 1/2 way through this imposed hiatus.

Looks to be a classic thunder cloud. It sounds like fun day in Flagstaff; let;s hope the rain did not affect all the action there. I'm sure Frank is always with you in your thoughts.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Wonderful isn't it!! No - we persevered! smile
Yes- he is always in my heart and on my mind... But I want him in my arms! smile
Nice. Clouds are photogenic little beasties.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: thank you, Rob! They are indeed - a favorite subject of mine!
Hopefully that will be resolved soon. Good times with family are the best

Fabulous image Elizabeth! I trust Your Man will be with you soonest.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Richard!
And thank your for your kind thoughts and wishes...
but I'm afraid we're only 1/2 way through this imposed hiatus!
What a great cloud that is. I hope it won't be long before Frank arrives for you. We've got our Chris and Caroline, two grandchildren, and assorted partners arriving early afternoon, perhaps it means I'm someone special!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it just!
I'm afraid we're only 1/2 way through the imposed hiatus. :-(
I'm so glad you were surrounded by family today - so important - and obviously you ARE indeed someone special!
Great cloud, Ell, sounds like a fun day in Flag'..smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Frank!
Just missing you... :-(
that is some voluminous cloud build up, Elizabeth, judging from the size of the trees.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it something! We get a lot of these - usually during monsoon season, which is coming (soon I hope!)

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They certainly are, Pauline! Inspiring many poem and song!
