Climb up on Frank's shoulders, Elizabeth...that should do the trick!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Hey that's an idea!!! I'd be 6 feet taller!

HA.... I know the problem...
what a great picture and I love the composition. In your case it should be 'jump and shoot' in stead of 'point and shoot'... wink
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile
Thank you very much Astrid! Jump and shoot... I'll set a high shutter speed! smile
Surprenant et très beau mur.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They have these all over Northern England - they are wonderful!

You need a handsome man to lift you up. Hmmmm... now do you know anyone like that? wink Despite the number of times I've been to the Lakes, those fells on the top left have always alluded me; they always seem to be under cloud - I'm not flogging myself up mountains unless I can get a view smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm thinking I can find one.... smile
I know what you mean about getting views... Frank doesn't even like walking through our forests unless he can be assured of a view at the end!! smile

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Hmmmm.... know anyone?? smile
It sounds like everyone has a good solution for you, Elizabeth. HA! I love it.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: And I think I'll take their advice!!
Excellent Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Chad!

I think you have seen enough!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: What I could see... was beautiful! smile
Climb on your man's shoulders Elizabeth! Very nice capture.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'll do that next time! It'll add over six feet to my view! smile Thank you, Richard!
Love the stone in the foreground so much.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Aren't they wonderful! Those stone walls are everywhere in the Lake District... Perhaps you'll see for yourself at the next SC meet up!!! smile
Fine composition. What a spot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Jacquelyn! I find beauty everywhere I look, there!
A grand view, Elizabeth, funny Alan should say that, I've found it the same...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Frank! I know you MUST have a view!

No need for a cherrypicker; this is great as it is. It provides layers of light, with the house as a focal point. Myself would have tried to swing the camera lens a few degrees to the left.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Louis! I'm so glad you think so! I'm trying to think of why I composed it this way, and if I recall correctly, I was shooting between cars...
Actually I like this just as it is, that lovely stone wall makes a great foreground and what beautiful fells in the background.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm so pleased, thank you Brian!

This is a super photo Elizabeth - the boundary wall holding in the splendours of the fell is a joy to behold.

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are wonderful, aren't they?! Thank you so much, Peter!
