A lucky chance to be able to capture this, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Lisl! They tend to dash away very quickly, but he clearly thought he was well hidden!
Watching over you, Elizabeth, I see. smile

This is a great picture. I assume that these little creatures are very shy and hard to catch.
At least you found the proper Latin name wink....
sad the uploader has not made this video available in your country....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Astrid!
They do dash away quickly most of the time - but I think he thought he was well hidden!

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is, Bill - I love these guys!
The moment he realized his camo outfit wasn't perfect.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile For all his efforts... smile
It has a rather interesting design on it Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he pretty! In breeding season their hands turn bright yellow, and their backs very green!
I don't remember seeing him, Elizabeth, he is a cute little fella!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think you had gone on ahead while I was trying to get a photo of a flower...

Oooeeerrr... is it dangerous? I'm always wary of things in the undergrowth in the US. It looks quite friendly, though.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh no - if you could even catch him... he's not venomous!
Quite a cute little character, I wouldn't mind being near him, but not, of course, his relatives without legs!!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is very, Brian! You and Frank are so funny.... snakes are just lizards without legs... not their fault!

Plenty of different greens to tone in with his background - hope he isn't a dangerous one
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - he's our only green toned lizard. No - he's quite safe, and runs really fast from humans!

Good eye for he seems to be hiding well
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He was pretty well camo'd, that's for sure! Thank you - I think it was the movement I saw... you would know what that's like! smile
