Sunday Skies

Another Shot of Our Christmas Day Snow

A few minutes later, and from a slightly different vantage point

from last Sundays shot

We've started off the New Year with a bang...

Snowbowl has a 70 inch base of snow for our

skiiers and boarders!  At this point Flagstaff has

had more snow in 2016 than any other city in the U.S.

We won't hold that record for long, I'm sure,

but our 15 minutes of fame are kinda fun!

Haha!! Well done Flagstaff! Love the peaks peeking out under the snow clouds. Do you ski? I used to go the Wasatch Mountains in Utah every year for about ten years or so; Deer Valley was my favourite - no boarders and fabulous snow!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile
Isn't that pretty!!
I don't really like to ski - would rather snow shoe. Not sure why. But now it's so expensive to get up a lift that I just can't justify it.
Lovely light on the snowy peaks Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Bill - The light was ever changing!
Wonderful Elizabeth! Look at this mystical light.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Richard! The light was ever changing that day!
This is great! Blue skies and a snow shower with sun on the peak. Funny that we are both still featuring a wonderful Christmas Day.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary! It was an amazing day! Yes... Christmas Day was lovely for both of us, eh?!
We can see snow on the hills from our bedroom window, hope it stays there.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: How beautiful! Frank says his snow has melted now... :-(
Quite a bit of drama up there
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh yeah!!
You've really got these lovely Sunday skies and landscapes nailed, those mountains look terrific.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Brian! Just trying to present what I saw!
a wonderful composition for Sunday Skies Elizabeth...
i love the layers of the treeline... the snow caped mountains... the snow falling through the clouds and that beautiful blue above it all... this one's a winner....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Peter! I could've watched these clouds change for hours... it was such a beautiful day.

that is amazing. So far we had about 3 inches.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it beautiful! I'm sure you'll get your fair share in due time... or maybe Mother Nature will let you off this year, given what you went through last year! smile
We had our first snow last night - only about an inch smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Lovely! An inch seems pretty good for where you are though - I don't imagine you get much accumulation?
A great image to enjoy. How long did you take to enjoy it for real?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Jacquelyn! About 10 minutes after this shot the mountain was completely socked in - and everything was just gray!
