The Man... The Legend

Billy Bob Lane

92 Years Young

Blind in one eye...  Can't see out of the other...

But he's still ridin' and ropin'

If any of you get the chance...  check out Thomas Jeppeson's page

Frank and I have found him to be a terrific photographer

and seems a pretty nice guy!

Lovely portrait of an evidently rugged individual, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Ray - I'm so pleased to have gotten a good, candid shot of him. Rugged, indeed - lots of scars and old broken bones...
What you say is true, Elizabeth, a quite remarkable man. Also I can only verify what you say about Mr Jepposon, an excellent photographer.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Billy Bob is something, isn't he?!
And Mr Jeppeson is too... smile
i hope that i look half as good as this when i get to his age... great portrait....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He's pretty amazing, Peter! Thank you very much!
What a wonderful portrait Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Richard!

He's looking extraordinarily good, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he! He's really something!
By the looks of it, he's also hard of hearing, Elizabeth...but is still smiling! THAT'S LIVING.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Very true - and can hardly walk! He's lived the life he dreamed he would!

This is the kind of man who conquered the States!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm sure you're right, Philine! Tough stock!

Living dangerous does not always mean a short life. Billy Bob Lane is the proof of it. A wonderful portrait.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nope - I think you're right! He's a toughy!

Great portrait. Can't think how I have missed Thomas' postings. They are right there (what I like)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Louis!
Yes - Mr Jeppeson is quite good! I'm so pleased we found him!
A fine portrait Elizabeth. Thomas Jepperson's pictures are excellent
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Bill!
And I can't agree enough on Jepperson's photos!
Is this the same elderly gentleman that you showed once before Elizabeth or another chap?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You're right Chad! Good eye! This was his third "Birthday Roping Competition" I've been honored to have been invited to!

Now there's a man with passion in his face, despite his sight problems. Good for him to be still ropin' at 92.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He just loves being on a horse - good thing since he can hardly walk, himself! smile He's pretty amazing!
Nice portrait, Elizabeth. That scar was probably accompanied by a great story.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Mary! Yes - I hope to see him this Saturday, perhaps I'll ask him about the scar. It looks like a large skin graft - wouldn't you say?
One of your best portraits Elizabeth, fancy still doing all that at his age and being partly blind. I am going to send some of my club friends a link to Thomas SC what a wonderful set of images, thanks for drawing our attention to him.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Brian! Billy Bob is really something else!
I'm pleased you find Thomas' photos as good as we do! We thought he was a real find!

What a great portrait, Elizabeth.
The blind in on eye bit made me laugh.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Pauline!
I'm glad I could give you a laugh!
Well motivated in his advanced years
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is pretty amazing!
He's lookin' good for another 20!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think you are probably right!!
