she may be young and her feet don't reach the stirrups yet... but if you look at her hand you can see that she has complete control of her horse Elizabeth...
from this angle she looks so much like Michelle our oldest granddaughter....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You are so right - she knows what she's doing, Peter!
Awe - what a sweet thought... Michelle a few years ago... smile
How come she looks completely comfortable and I look the opposite smile Well caught Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: She just has more practice! We'll get you back on Micah.... Thanks Frank!

She'll be doing this all her life I expect..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They usually do... our good friend Billy Bob is 92 - blind in one eye, can't see out of the other - but still ropin'!
Don't we love it when kids start out young!!!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh yah - they stick with it... usually! Good morning to you - I'm off to bed! smile

2011.... I think that is when the saddle was made. Kids learn by instinct. What a great picture.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Probably - but more importantly, that would be the year it was awarded to the owner in a competition.

She certainly looks at home on a horse, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: She definitely does!
It's the best way Elizabeth, as I'm sure you know.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I certainly agree!
The only way Elizabeth. I bet she will ride for most of her life
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No doubt you're right - most of them do!
I know. Soon after marriage couples start thinkin' of young'ns. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: HA! Not a chance, Mary. Not a chance! smile
She looks competent enough!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Certainly more than I!

Looking really professional, lovely picture Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Very much so, Anne! Thank you!
Fearless and full of confidence, a good age to start I would guess
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You betcha!
The younger the better!
Ah, to be young...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Here.. here..
Not the first time she's done this I bet, but the horse looks so big for a little girl like her.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nope! There are no ponies in this world - they all ride the big boys!
she seems to be at ease, Elizabeth. i remember my first horse ride - i was s fascinated by the mane of the horse!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Very much so!
Manes and tails.... flowy and mesmerizing!

Wonderful shot. I love the way the girl is turned one way and the horse the other. She does, as others have said, look so comfortable.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Beth, for your thoughtful, observant comments!!
