Liverpool Lightly

Just be nice. And grateful. And loving. Is it really too much to ask? #typeaparent

These things can be symbols of eternal love Elizabeth but maybe these are simply functional.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: There were just a few, and about half of them had the usual inscriptions. There was also a small bunch of flowers hanging nearby.
I see they are removing the ones in Paris because the weight is damaging the bridge. Clearly this is not yet a problem in Liverpool
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - too bad, but you have to understand! No, Liverpool has not yet caught on!
I love the DOF
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Chantal!!
They are certainly not going to break up...smile Did you see that they removed 45tons of these from a bridge in Paris....It was in danger of bringing the bridge down. Love has such power. As we know...X
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You say all the right things, Mr. Croston!
Neither are we... 5000 miles or no... such is the power of Love! X
Lovely shot Elizabeth. Not too crowded like the ones in Paris that are currently being removed
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Janet!
Yes - there were just a few here - and a small bunch of flowers!

It could be your love object! I saw the bridge Frank mentioned.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We have lots of lovely trinkets! The bridge is something isn't it!

Just shows that sea air is not the bnest for locks. I've just read that the French have removed tonnes of love locks from their bridges.

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Probably not, Alan! This may have been up for 2 weeks smile Whereas it would take a millennium to get that much rust in Arizona!
Bit late for me to remark on the Paris thing, I must admit until this practice appeared on SC. a while back I hadn't heard of it before, I'm not up with the times!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Yes - several have mentioned it! It's ok Brian - you don't need to be up with the times, we like sentimental you! smile
Gratitude is essential... good rusty image...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: A grateful heart is a happy heart! Thank you Larry - knew you'd like the rust! smile
I wonder why they are not on the same link? Where the flowers stuck in the links too?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well - like most Love Lock rails I guess, each one tries to find it's own space. Some of the locks had inscriptions or hearts on them. These two just didn't. The flowers were stuffed in a link, yes! Thanks for looking in Jacquelyn!
Lovely detail Elizabeth, rust is good!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much Sarah! Rust is just wonderful!

Oh, I like. My kinda shot. The stark grit in the foreground and the softer background. Very nice. The colours too (on any monitor wink
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you ! I'm so glad you like it!!! Whatever colors yo see - as long as you like them! smile
