Have a good time in San Diego. Wonderful detail of a boat that needs always to be taken care off...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh I'll try! smile
Thank you, Astrid - I thought the wood grain was really pretty!

Work calls - but you will enjoy it, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes. And I'll sit through as many lectures as I can stand, I'll research and learn. But then... Dinner and drinks on the beach!! Watch the sunset from Coronado! smile
Did I ever tell you I lived in San Diego for 7 years, Elizabeth, and that my 2 kids were born there? YUP. Have a GREAT time. At least I'll be able to picture you there. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I think you did, Ginnie! My brother was born there - My folks met when my Dad was stationed at the Naval base.
I'll have a great time, Ginnie - thanks! And yes - you'll know just where I am!
That is a massive convention Elizabeth, I trust they will need to hold it outdoors. Have fun and enjoy sharing knowledge.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile I KNOW, RIGHT?! smile
Actually, I have no idea how many people actually attend. I can only tell you we've been kicked out of San Francisco because it couldn't hold us!
Thanks Chad! It'll be good!

A great close-up of a proper boat.. i.e. one made of wood, not one of plastic bathtub things. San Diego will be a blast; there aren't that many places in the US I would like to live but this is one of them. I'm sure you're see eye to eye with many people at the Conference smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Alan! Yes- I prefer to see boats made of wood, so beautiful!
San Diego was wonderful - the conference wasn't bad either! smile You are too Punny! smile

I think I have said it before, Elizabeth, but this image indicates that you have a good eye.

Happy eyeball slicing in San Diego...possibly my favourite city in USA.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very kindly Ray! Such a compliment!

San Diego is a really wonderful place Ray!
I like the rich finish... have fun at the Academy...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't that wood lovely!
Had a great time, Larry! Thanks!
That wood just looks wonderful....you would have to touch it.

That is some title for a convention......
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is really beautiful isn't it!

We call it ASCRS - pronouncing it "Ass-kris". Or if you're in a mood... "Ass-kiss" smile Pardon my French.

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I sure did, Anne! Did you find it?! Beautiful coastal city. My Naval Officer Dad met my Mom there 53 years ago... smile
