They're Coming!!

These girls were waiting at the end of the street,

ready to run up and tell us when the Fire engine

was about to turn the corner!

A great shot and even I would be excited to see the firetruck coming. It shows they had great fun.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Astrid! The Fire Engine is massive, and marked the beginning of the parade!

Fun for them to be included like this
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - well they weren't official, you see... they just appointed themselves! smile

They certainly seem to be enjoying it. I bet the Fire Engine was already announcing its arrival with its horns.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: There's nothing like seeing kids at a parade!!! Actually I don't recall the Engine blowing it's horns - probably would've blown us into New Mexico if it had! smile
Great sense of movement here Ell', you can sense the excitement.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Frank! They were so cute! Louis thinks I should've used a faster shutterspeed to freeze the action - but I think I'm OK with the action blur.
They are enjoying a piece of the action Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They were pretty cute!!
The big smile on the second girls face says it all about these three and what sort of day they were having.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Don't you just love seeing youthful joy!

You have certainly captured their excitement in this action shot
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Anne - that's what I was hoping for!
i'll bet that the fire engine had candy to throw into to the crowd Elizabeth... the girls did a good job announcing its arrival... good follow shot....petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They did! Lots of Tootsie Rolls and Dum Dums! smile
These girls certainly did their job well!
I love the blur it makes it come alive
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Bill! I'm glad you like it!!
You certainly caught their excitement!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh good!!

You are in the sun and they are blurred. Shutterspeed slow due to low ISO. Go up to ISO400 in the sunlight and they would have been in focus.

That said ... the movement blur strengthens the idea of excitement.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks for the advice... gotta say, though, I like a little motion blur!
