Caught him very nicely, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you! It's hard to convey what he'd just done- to land his feet on the board in this position- but I like it.

My son was a skateboarder and it is tough training and dedication. I would often take him and his friends to an old airplane-hanger, which was rebuild in a skateboard area.
I know what it is to be a 'boarder'.
Absolute great picture, these guys are magicians with gravity smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I remember! And I remember the video you had sent of him - pretty amazing!
Thank you Astrid... They were hard to catch, but I like this one!
Great action capture Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Richard!

Clever action shot, Elizabeth - it looks as if his arm was going faster than the rest of him!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Lisl! He was just fast... that's all!

I've been there, a lot of skill is evident
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They're pretty amazing!
I just LOVE that they have a place for these kids to practice their sport, Elizabeth. Lots of pride in a place and sport like this...very much similar to graffiti art, when I think of it. smile Great action shot!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Me too, Ginnie! They are quite amazing, we enjoyed watching them for a good long while!
Thank you!
Beautifully caught. I don't know how they get to be so skilled on those things
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Practice, practice, practice! I watched this guy repeat the same jump at least 20 times...

Caught in the act - a place I know well, as a spectator you understand ;o)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I understand! They're great to watch aren't they!

I never thought that this craze would last as long as it has ELizabeth. I wonder if it will continue?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I hadn't either - it's had quite a resurgence lately, different widths and lengths on the boards for different styles...
The right moment for the snap.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you! After about his 20th jump I started to get a feel for when to shoot!

I've watched these guys with awe and marvelled in their skills. I wonder if you have any future snowboard champions there?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are amazing! You may very well be on to something...

Wow, you caught him just right, Elizabeth. Love all the colourful graffiti.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks very much Pauline!!
It's a great place - lots of color and action!
he must have broken some bones while getting this done
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Not while we were there... He landed on his feet every time!
It's a great shot, Ell', we had fun watching these guys, good memories.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Frank! Very good memories!
Excellent timing for this shot Elizabeth. I can never understand why the boards don't fall away from their feet when they are airborne.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much Brian! Actually on this jump - as he comes off the ramp - he spins the board 360 degrees and what you see here is him slamming is feet back down on the board, then hopefully onto the ground!

What a great action shot Elizabeth. I remember when my younger daughter got a skateboard and I tried it out on the garden path and landed in the flower bed ..... never did have much coordination alas smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Anne! It was great trying to get pics of these guys!
You sound about as good as me on these things!! smile
I'm waiting for a 'Back to the Future' hover board. Good capture smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They have'm... you just have to have lots of money! Thanks John!
Good way to break an ankle, I understand smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No doubt - but none of these guys crashed while we were there!
Oh to be young and flexible.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We all have our day.... smile
great shot... I know this place so well...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Ronky! I bet you do!
