Iconic isn't the word Elizabeth. One day I'm actually going to walk over Tower Bridge, I regret I have never done so
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: So true! I wanted to walk across all the bridges when I was there! I'm so pleased I was able to walk across this, and the Millennium bridge as well!
The Story goes that when the bloke who bought London Bridge did so, he thought he was buying this....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I know that's a popular myth in England. But the truth is, Robert McCulloch didn't become a multimillionaire by being an idiot, and when he signed the papers to acquire the bridge, he was photographed on the London Bridge, not the Tower bridge! I've looked, and cannot find any evidence that he bought the wrong bridge.

I wonder how tourists have taken photos of this fine bridge? Even I got one or two... smile I'm pleased that they had the flags out for your visit.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: MILLIONS!!! It's so beautiful! I liked this shot best because of the position of the flags!

.. I think Chris means "...walk across the bridge... " If he walked over it, he'll end up in the water smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Good catch Alan!
Wonderfully captured Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Richard! It's such a beautiful bridge!

That's never falling down, Elizabeth!

Perhaps Tower Bridge is more sturdy than London Bridge, heh!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I hope not!
Apparently the foundation was, anyway!
A really good close up of the bridge Elizabeth, looking marvellous against your Sunday sky
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Janet! It's such a beautiful bridge - and the flags were in perfect position!
Quite a foreground for your Sunday Sky today!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Mary! It's truly such a beautiful bridge!
A very good picture of the bridge, surely one of the most recognizable things in the world.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Brian - I'm sure you're right!
Well captured Elizabeth, an iconic view, a happy day we were having...smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Frank! One of our many... smile
I wonder what is in those towers...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It think it's just the stairwells to go up to the upper foot bridge..
