Proud Pooch!

To keep this little guy from chasing the hockey puck

his "mom" kept him chasing a ball...

Hyde Park

London

England

May 18, 2014

Especially today I reflect on how Thankful I am for ShutterChance...

Not just because it gives me a forum to share my photos,

but, more importantly, because of the wonderful friends I've made all around the world.

Each one of you has a special place in my heart.

(Alright.... yes.... one a little closer than others...)

So now Mr. Right and I make a run for the border... or at least 10 miles from it.

We'll be spending the next four days exploring Bisbee, Tombstone,

Cochise Stronghold, the Dragoon Mountains & the Chiricahua Mountains.

All just north of the Arizona - Mexico border.

We probably will not have internet... but that's nothing new lately!   :-)

Happy Thanksgiving and don't let Frank drive on the left side of the road on your trip down to the border...petersmile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Peter- that little dog was a dandy!
You are so sweet... I suppose we all are deserving, aren't we?!
Thank you- I'll keep an eye on Frank! smile

Thank you for your kind words to us, Elizabeth - and enjoy your internet-free break just north of the border. And I like this little dog!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You're welcome!
Well... we have our bellies stuffed, and have found wifi while we rest up for a big Friday!

Hha.. he looks like he's up for the action and already has his eye on the game.

Have a wonderful time. I don't know any of these areas so I'm looking forward to seeing photos. Don't give lifts to anyone looking dodgy (well, except Frank!)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He was quite an active little fella!
It's a really great part of the world... I hope we can get some good pics to share.
We're stopping for no one!!!!

Have a great time - don't forget to take some cool photos ;o)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: We'll try! smile
this canine character is handsome and knows it too well! have a memorable time ahead, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You can tell by the way he prances!
Thank you Ayush!
very proud, not arrogant I hope
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Probably not... not yet! smile
He's a happy looking pooch. Is this near Mexicali? No problem crossing the border for a bit of Mexico.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is! We're actually about 6 hours from Mexicali.... we've got to go south-south east, Mexicali would be south west... The border doesn't entrance me anymore - too dangerous. I know many, many, many wonderful, beautiful Mexican Nationals... but as usual, the extremists ruin everything. Drug lords now rule the border and have no problem torturing and murdering their own kind - much less anyone else. It's a shame - it's a really beautiful country, and most Mexicans are humble and kind.
You are heading for an adventure right enough, have a great time together and lets be seeing what you discover in due course
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Indeed! Thank you Martin - I hope we get some good photos to share!
Isn't he sweet and what a lovely coat he's got. Happy travelling Elizabeth you lucky thing
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is so cute - well taken care of!
Thank you Janet! I'm so lucky... in many ways!

Nice to know that you appreciate your colleagues/friends ELizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely, Chad! Absolutely!
Another cute little character, like the one the other day. Have a good trip, you'll be travelling with your own cute character of course smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he!
We're having a good time so far.
Yes, I am! smile
Enjoy your travels and happy Thanksgiving...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Larry!
Happy Thanksgiving to you...
and Happy Birthday!!!
Lovely fella! You'll be visiting the area that J.A. Jance writes about in her Joanna Brady series of detective stories - don't know if you've read them, but the places you mention all occur there and she is based in Bisbee smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he! I don't know about J.A. Jance... I'll have to look her up. This is a really wonderful part of the world - steeped in history and myth!

I think the owner's are massaging their EGO's by tarting this dog up so dreadfully ... That poor dog is going to have a mid-life personality crisis in a year or two.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nah - I think he's quite proud of himself!
Cute Pooch...no not Frank ...the dog

Anyway I agree about the friends made. I never imagined I would meet up with folk from Germany, The Netherlands, Canada the USA and Thailand; not to mention a miserable old sod from up North (no not Frank) and a couple of loonies from the South West and a Strange chap in Norfolk...oh and a bloke from Leicestershire and one from Cambridgeshire and a lady from Cornwall and one from Somerset....who did I miss?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: He is cute... both Frank and the dog...

I'm not sure you missed anyone... I like how you put all that! The world has gotten smaller, hasn't it! smile
