Dogday Afternoon

It was the perfect day for people to take their dogs out on the beach

And these dogs had so much fun frolicking about in the waves

Ha ha

Did Frank frolic, Elizabeth?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Nah - he's a pussycat!
It's a favourite place, Elizabeth, not all of them are pleasant though, I know from experience...:-( Good montage you made though. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I completely understand why, Frank - and am so thankful you shared it with me!
Thank you!

Like our doggie parks! What a great collage!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is - one big long doggie park! Thanks Bonnie!
Great fun collage Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Richard! It was so fun watching them all!

Dogs just love the sea, it's so much fun watching them
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They do seem to! I loved watching them!
I'd definitely call this the Life of Riley, Elizabeth! smile Well done.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No kidding!! As it should be!
Frank always jokes about who the superior race is.... if aliens were to observe us feeding, entertaining, serving and picking up their poo... well... smile

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Absolutely Chad! Happy Dawgs they are!

a lovely collage - yes, the Britons love their dogs - you surely know that dog spelled afterwards is God.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They do, Philine - and I've noticed, cats as well.
I'd given my Dad an embroidered pillow that said "My only wish is to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am". I love that one too!

I don't see an insert of your dog - what is his name again? Croston - or something like that.
These other dogs are enjoying it in the mean time.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh no - he's a pussy cat! smile

Their joy is clearly evident; I like the flying ears and the big tooth grin bottom right and the flying dog in the centre. Great fun by all.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it great!!! I love watching dogs play! I wouldn't want one of course, but I love watching them - kinda like kids! smile

Doggy madness!Nice bit of creative zoom on your central photo.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it great! Yes - I felt I had to do something with that middle image - I'm glad you think it worked!
I love your collage and especially the middle shot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks very much Mary! I enjoyed watching them !
What a joy to see so many of them free! In Singapore there are few public places (and perhaps shrinking) where it is permitted to take dogs off their leashes...

yes, I know....
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it great!!!
I'm afraid the same is all over. Here in Flagstaff (though they're rather lax about enforcing it- it's a very dog friendly place, with many businesses even putting water bowls out), and Frank says in Blackpool proper- the beach is one of the few places they can be off leash.
ps: i love the fellla in bottom left, tongue lolling and all. i bet he/she thinks he has some treasure in his jaws grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't he great!!! Pure joy!
What a brilliant idea for a collage. These dogs are a bit braver than the one on Janet's posting today.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks Brian! I'm so glad you think so!
Yes - Janet's seems a wee bit more timid!!
Absolutely wonderful, Elizabeth. Dogs always seem to have a smile on their faces when they are on the beach.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Isn't it great! I'd love to see Carrek out there!! They were all just so happy!
Haha. We are on the same page today Elizabeth. A lovely collection of doggies having fun
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Funny, huh?!! Thank Janet!
Great captures, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you Professor!
