I would so love to visit this exhibition, Elizabeth - I have never seen anything like it
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was really wonderful. I love Native American art... it always has a story... All works - from ancient pottery to modern skate board decks- are decorated with symbols and story lines.

This is my sort of art. It immediately tells a story and I don't have to try to guess what the artist was trying to say.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes - I really love this sort of thing!

The cat looks a bit undernourished.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Just a bit...
are any of these rituals or customs still practice to honor specific times in the year?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes they are, Alan. The most sacred are usually closed to outsiders, but I've been invited to some festivals. They're wonderful!
I like all three but the bottom one is the one that really catches my eye.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm glad you have a favorite!

Wow. Didn't know about this tradition. Did I tell you that I'm a hospital clown? Trained after I retired. Very therapeutic value to the parents/kids.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You did mention! Such a wonderful service you provide!
For their age they look so fresh and well kept.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: You're right - I was impressed with that as well!
Merry and I use to go to native festivals and pow wows held by a mix of tribes in Georgia.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm so glad you've had that opportunity - I find them to be very grounding.
