Such fluidity in her movements! You've excelled at a technique I've rarely ever used. Great series!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Steven! I think you give me too much credit... but thank you!
You captured the essence of the dance very well Elizabeth.

It's breath-taking in pictures, Eizabeth - goodness knows what it must be like in real life
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Lisl! It's such a beautiful thing to watch - all the swirling twirling fabrics!
The first and the last but one are the highlights of this set.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Brian! Glad you think so!!
You have outdone yourself with this dancer. Even though this is a festival about colour, I love your work here.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary! We really enjoyed trying to capture the folds and movement of the fabric - the satiny white just glistened!

That's quite a get up to have a dance with!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes the costumes are very heavy and bulky - but they twirl them around without noticing!

White is so evocative.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: it is - I love how it shows the folds in the satin so nicely!
i love it Elizabeth... she starts out very slow and raises the flow of her dance to a a flash of action and then closes with grace as she ends with her dress spread out on the ground....petersmile
