Sugarloaf Mountain

A beautiful spring day hiking Doe Mountain in the Secret Mountain Wilderness, north west of Sedona.

Sugarloaf a couple hours later from higher up on Doe Mountain:

I apologize that I may not get around to Shutterchance this week....

we have some staffing shortages at the office,

and I will probably be a bit brain dead once I get home...

So beautiful. I love the contrasting colors.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Beth! I think that's a large part of the appeal of the Sedona area! The rich red soil, differing colors on the layered rocks, green trees and blue skies...

What a delight to be able to see this for you in real life. You know I am fascinated in the different horizontal lines and the colours they show... Love the sky too. Great pictures.
