Found Another...

                                 ... that I liked...

Another photo from The Lakes.   Haystacks and Warnscale Beck.   And with the changing light...

Some of you commented on the photo of the Euston Hotel, that you thought that might be our new flat!  :-)

Sorry to confuse...

Here's a view across little Fleetwood Harbor to our neighborhood... one of those is ours!

(and yes, I know it's not straight, but I just wanted to toss it up real fast...

Thank you for the clarification, Elizabeth. It is great to look over water. I like the copse in the top photo, giving a real sense of how huge is the mountain

Haystacks was one of the favourite mountains of Alfred Wainwright whose seven handwritten guidebooks did much to populist the Lake District for walkers. His ashes are scattered in Innominate Tarn. What terrific views you have shown here. I like the views of your English home.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes... Frank has told me that, and I've flipped through his guidebooks... they're wonderful!
Frank has found us a terrific spot!
Thank you so much, Alan!

An awesome view of the dappled light on the valley below as it is sounded by the beautiful hillside!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Steven - I just love this area, and the sun & clouds were favorable that afternoon!
Two more great shots, the top one is breathtaking. Hopefully you will get to use your flat fairly regularly, I guess it is an expensive journey to and from though.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Brian! The light was very nice that day!
We expect Frank will be in England about 6 weeks or so every year, and I'll join him for two of those. Yes, unfortunately - it is very expensive to go back & forth.
