Lovely colour, and it has many admirers...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: This bright yellow Columbine is the most common in Northern Arizona. Colorado's state flower is a beautiful blue... I hope to capture some photos of it this summer!

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It is the most common in Northern Arizona... but this summer I hope to see the beautiful blue variety in Colorado!

I am delighted to see this, Elizabeth - I must tell you that a mould attacked all my varied Aquilegia last year (dozens of them) - they all just rotted away. This year just one has come up, and I am afraid to plant new in case the disease is still in the soil
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Lisl - I'm very please that you are... however I'm so sorry to hear about yours. They are so beautiful, aren't they? I hope your soil will return to health, and that you may see more Columbines in the future.
Fabulous quote, Elizabeth, to go with this delicacy.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Ginnie! I really like that quote!

Good to see plants that we don’t see everyday.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I'm glad I can open your eyes to something new!
I like the tiny bug smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Good, isn't he?!
This is a very different columbine than we have. Very delicate looking., I have been all of those things and love that quote.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Which do you have? This is our most common species.
Me too, Mary!
What a beautiful flower, the little creature finishes the picture off. I like the quote, oh that everybody, not just most, people in the world took those words to heart.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Brian! The little bug is a star!
So many things we know - but don't practice...
