Bosque del Apache Grasses

New Mexico

photoblog image bosque_5.jpg

We're spending a lot of time doing paperwork and gathering "evidence" of our relationship for the Immigration Department.  Frank's Green Card is probationary - and now we need to prove that our marriage is not a sham!   :-)    So forgive me if my presence on ShutterChance is a bit hit and miss for a while - and forgive me for digging through the archives.... I think these photo's will be more interesting than anything I've distractedly shot recently...

This is a nice sunny shot. I wonder what sort of LARGE bird that is?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I love light play on grasses!

smile - Great question! That is a Sand Hill Crane. They can be up to 5 feet tall, with a 6 foot wing span!

Great shot. Those grasses could hide an immigration officer. Now that is a job I really don't fancy.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Louis! smile No - I wouldn't want to be one, either!
