Oh brilliant! She was clearly pleased to a lovely American visitor. My favourite breed, too.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile She seemed curious enough... perhaps it was the accent!

Interesting to know that Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They're a favorite of mine now!
You marry a northerner and like English sheep. There is hope for you yet! grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile HA! Glad you think so!
They look far more alert and intelligent than many other sheep
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: They are a bit skittish - so I was so happy to capture this!
They really have got cute faces haven't they.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh they do!
Not only are they beautiful, but the wool makes terrific rugs!!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Ah... good to know, David! smile

What a beautiful dog, looks almost like a sheep. grin This Herdwick looks different from other sheep I am used to.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Ha! Me too, Louis - the sheep in Wyoming and Arizona are very different varieties. Interestingly, many that we have here are English breeds... but I've never seen Herdwick here.
