This whole lot comes to gether to make a great picture. Your mountains are very pointed, I suspect there must be a volcanic past involved there.

You're absolutely right, Brian - the Rocky Mountains used to have a lot of volcanic activity when the Pacific plate was shoving itself under the continental plate.
