Hard to capture the rainclouds and the rain!Great shot.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It did present itself beautifully! Thank you, Bonnie!
Nice shot Elizabeth, it did rain!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Frank! And how it did!
My kind of weather, Elizabeth. I hope you had your ponchos on. smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well... funny that... I'd left my rain coat lying on the bed at home! Oy! Had an umbrella - but it didn't really do the trick. Ok though - a good time was had! smile

Not the sort of day that would probably encourage people out on to the water. Sounds like you were caught in it.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No... but there were still plenty of folks walking around enjoying themselves none the less! Ya- we got a bit wet!

I think the boats loved all the downpour, Elizabeth. That is some serious rain and a great picture (I am glad you kept your raincoat dry wink)
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I bet they did! Cleaned em off! smile. Thank you Astrid! Yes- my raincoat was safe and dry! smile

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes it will!
Well.... Colorado's mean elevation is 6,800 feet. It's the highest mean elevation of all 50 states. There are over ten thousand mountains, 1,000 of them over 12,000 feet and 58 over 14,000 feet. It's area is larger than all of the UK. So - when you consider all of this... there are MANY lakes & reservoirs, over 300 in the Grand Mesa area alone. The lower points in the southern part of the state (the lowest point still being over 3,000 feet), can, certainly be hot and dry. But not nearly to the extent of those of us south of it... New Mexico & Arizona. And, interestingly... if you combine the population of six of our largest states - each with an individual area size larger than the UK, they still have fewer people than you do! smile
Pas vraiment le temps idéal pour faire du bateau
Bravo pour la photo
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile Nope! I wouldn't do it! Thank you, Claudine!

Storm's a blowin'
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Baton down the hatches! smile
The rain curtain is wonderfully captured. I wonder if there were any people aboard their boats.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Mary! We didn't see many people out there!
