Grand Canyon Colors

Not just of the canyon itself this time.

But a gorgeous rainbow showing off for a good 20 minutes!

And this.... straight out of the camera... it was THAT bright!

Rainbows always remind me that when we were walking the South West Coast Path and were just reaching Land's End, two rainbows appeared. Couldn't have been at a better moment. Yours are amazingly bright!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Awe- how special that must have been!
I couldn't believe how bright this was, Lisl!
I bet you'll never forget that, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Never! One for the ages! smile

Rainbows are the treasures we find in the sky, Elizabeth. To see it like this is even more special. What a gift to be able to capture. I think the Gods were with you that day......

Funnily enough, last week I looking through some of Grand Canyon rainbow images with a view of posting one or two here. I especially like how you have captured the falling rain. So lovely to have this in your "back yard" smile
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No kidding?! What a coincidence! I'd love to see yours!
We truly are fortunate!

This is a great picture Elizabeth. We seldom see the Canyon in the rain, for obvious reasons I suppose, but it’s good to see.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Chad! So true... We've always wanted to catch a rainbow - next goal... lightning strikes! smile
Top: Wow,
Lower: Even more wow,
what an opportunity, two lovely images.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Brian!
We were so Blessed!!
Wouldn't this be a major highlight of a trip! Both shots are stunning.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Totally! With this in our "backyard"... and as many times as we've been there... it's the first time we've caught a rainbow! Thank you so much, Mary!
Stunning!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Tom!

what a moment you captured
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Sherri!
Our Sunday sermon used rainbows as a metaphor, so this is quite appropriate for me...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No kidding! Little coincidences... that just aren't! smile
Magnificent !!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Bill!

Such a magical moment this rainbow makes in these shots!!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It was something, Steven! Thank you!
Wow! What a combination of light, rain, and landscape. Wonderful.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you so much, Graeme!
