I especially like the stonework on the tower. It all looks rather precarious but has stood the test of time. The warm tones go well the brooding skies.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks very much, Alan!

It looks like rain up there but often it seems to evaporate before it gets to the ground..
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh it did rain that day!

Nice composition, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Ray!
beautiful, the building on the left side of the building, remains of an ancient fortification?
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Claudio!
Well - not ancient at all, but an abandoned settlement / camp from the railroad days of the late 1800's They just used the materials at hand - stone and mud. So it looks older than it is!
I can't make up my mind whether I like that lovely stone wall or the sky best. Looks like an American version of a dry stone wall.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you very much, Brian!
Yes - this is an abandoned settlement from the late 1800's. They used the materials at hand... stone & mud.
