How different your cars were from ours of the same period, Elizabeth
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Perhaps the size of our cars reflect the size of our countries.... but not our hearts! smile
De beaux souvenirs ..Merci
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Claudine!

For a short time in my life I had a Buick Straight Eight from 1935. Amazing car - it had both manual and auto gearboxes. One changed between the two by stepping on the fourth pedal and shifting a lever next to the manual gear lever on the floor. The canary yellow car had air conditioning, a convertible top, cruise control, leather seats and white walls.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: No kidding?! WOW - that must have been something! 1935 - so innovative for the time!

Indeed so, Elizabeth. And this is a fabulous collage. No need to say that I love the top left with that wonderful orange splashing in the juice.... I think most of these cars get more TLC than their spouse wink
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Astrid! .... I think you are very right!
They don't and we probably should be glad grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Perhaps so... But I love seeing them!
What a great quartet of rear ends, so to speak. The layout is good because the lower two cars have their hoods, bonnets in Englandland, up which balances the layout very nicely.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks so much, Brian - I appreciate your creative commentary - It just felt balanced to me - but I couldn't have said why!
Nice curves all around.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Mary!

Im some ways that's a shame but in others, I'm pleased that they don't! At least in those days you could open the bonnet (hood) and fiddle with things.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: That's exactly right!
I do miss working on my own car...
Nice collage, it's funny how you've assembled the different colors.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Claudio!
I love that splashy orange...
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Larry!
That's probably just as well!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Yes, perhaps so!
