Cloud Horse

A little of my own "Unreality"  (Sorry, Frank! :-)  )

This week some photos from the Grand Canyon's South Rim.

To be followed next week by images from the North Rim.

Very different environments, and a very different experience.

Lovely stuff, happy Thanksgiving!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thank you, Chris!
And to answer your question to Frank.... we do have a LOT to be thankful for... Thanksgiving was originally to celebrate the Colonials (read: "Brits"wink first successful crops so they wouldn't starve to death. Before that first crop - they'd taken to killing and cannibalizing the indigenous peoples, because they didn't realize that moving to the north eastern shore of North America in the middle of winter in search of gold was a really, really, really stupid idea. They were very nice.

Now, we (including many of our indigenous peoples) choose to focus on what we are thankful for today... family, friends, the food on the table, the roof over our heads, living in a Free, Democratic Society that was specifically created after some very, very smart people (Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, Hancock, Adams...) chose to escape the stifling rule of the English king. Just don't tell trump and all the trump-heads because they seem to think this is an autocracy/plutocracy.... Anyway - there are many blessings, and Thanksgiving gives us reason to stop and think about them!

Then, a bunch of morons will trample each other to death on black Friday trying to get the best deals on a tv set. What's happening to my country?
That is what vertigo feels like grin
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Oh I'm sorry! I had no idea! smile

hahah!! More like a pantomime horse. Well spotted; I would have not see it in with my own eyes; I would have been too busy peering into the canyon.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Thanks, Alan! It popped out to me right away!

I don't know how you noticed the horse upside down. Good on you and Happy Thanksgiving!
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Well that little dingleberry seemed obvious to me, then the horse image came into view!
Thank you, Mary!
