Le maquillage et la tenue noire représentent bien la mort.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Exactly - they depict the beloved ones who have passed.
Ce spectacle devait être magnifique !!
Tes photos sont superbes ..
Bonne journée
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's a wonderful celebration every year. The performers are just scattered about the plaza, so as you wander around you just happen upon a different performance where ever you are. It's pretty cool! Thank you very much, Claudine!

Hula hoop - as teenie I tried to use that, too - the lady looks wonderfully made up.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Great fun & exercise! I like her makeup too!

I think that there is rarely a child that has not not had a go at hula hooping (this child has failed miserably smile ) so its good to see that some can do it expertly.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: I hope you're right - it's great fun - great for the coordination - and great exercise!

So,thing that I was never able to master.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: It's OK - you have other talents! smile
I love the painting on this face, especially the eyes.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Pretty, isn't it? There are always a couple makeup artists painting everyone's faces. I always want to do it, but I'm not willing to wait in line for an hour! smile
I wasn't built right to hula-hoop properly. Her make-up is well done but as intended no doubt a bit scary.
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: smile It's alright, Brian! You have other talents! The makeup is just supposed to represent some beauty in death. They're not trying to be scary - but they are supposed to be dead - so there's always a skeletal element to the makeup.

Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: Lots of that going on! She was great fun to watch! Thank you, Peter!
They say that you never forget how to hula hoop like you never forget how to ride bike

Nice Pics E
Elizabeth Croston Buckalew: So they say - but the last time I picked one up (in Grasmere, no less) I failed miserably!! Thank you, Bill!
